No game…

October 11, 2020

Since NLDS series were both sweeps, no MLB baseball today, a foreshadowing of winter. Those gaps in postseason always remind me of A. Bartlett Giamatti. “It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart.”

I miss the days when sports were our regular biggest “heartbreak.”

Florida football coach Dan Mullen now wants a full stadium for the Gators game next week in Gainesville against LSU. 90,000 fans.

If Mullen gets his wish can we call it the COVID bowl?

After Mississippi State lost 24-2 (not a typo) to Kentucky, coach Mike Leach said “We’re going to have to check some of our group and figure out who really wants to play here, because any malcontents, we’re going to have to purge a couple of those.”

Watching COVID-19 cases spike in South, and considering that next week’s opponent, Texas A & M, just knocked off #4 Florida, guessing the number who “really want to play here” now, might make filling a roster difficult.

Georgia WR George Pickens got an unsportsmanlike penalty today for squirting water from a bottle on Tennessee QB Jarrett Guarantano. And college athletes are the young men we expect to be grownup enough to take precautions against spreading COVID?

Reports that people attending Trump’s Evita balcony impersonation today at the White House got reimbursed for travel and hotel costs. The real question – will they get reimbursed for their future medical costs?

Profiles in smarmy cowardice: John Bolton attacking Donald Trump on CNN as “dangerous,” but adds that he’s not endorsing Joe Biden, he’s going to “write in the name of another Republican.” And this man supposedly was making really tough decisions on behalf of our country?

If there’s any truth at all hidden in Trump doctor’s statement that Donald is no longer contagious, it’s that White House is admitting Trump was infected far earlier than admitted and hadn’t been tested- probably for a while, before his debate with Joe Biden.

Ever considered visiting Massachusetts for fall foliage? This year you can’t do it without a proof of valid & recent COVID-19 test. Of course, without such a test you could come to DC as Senator to confirm SCOTUS judge or be a President & travel for big unmasked rallies.

Negative COVID-19 tests required to get on some planes, travel to many countries, even travel w/o quarantine to some states. Negative test also required to play college or professional sports. But GOP doesn’t think negative test is required to show up for Senate SCOTUS hearings?

Now a report that George W. Bush will endorse Joe Biden. So what nasty nickname will Donald come up with for W?

Colin Jost on SNL talking about Donald Trump being one of the only people to have have a near death experience and learn nothing from it. Colin Jost clearly knows nothing about Steve Scalise.

As the media tries to “both sides” with this court packing question, why don’t they go after Mitch McConnell who actually HAS been court packing since Obama was President?

Donald’s balcony speech was supposed to be 30 minutes. It lasted less than 20. Most of Trump’s speeches go long. Challenge even a MAGA supporter to come up with a plausible excuse why if he were healthy Donald would give up free airtime.

So when mothers have to put their children to bed hungry because there’s no COVID relief bill, GOP expects they can just comfort the kids with a bedtime story about a new SCOTUS judge? If you already didn’t KNOW we need to Flip the Senate.

Over the fence and out.

October 10, 2020

Okay, was never a Yankees fan and especially not an Aroldis Chapman fan. But if you need another reason to be happy about the Rays winning – Imagine how happy FOX will be about losing even the possibility of Yankees in World Series…. #Ratings

Mike Brousseau, who hit the game-winning home run off Chapman, was buzzed by a 101 MPH Aroldis threw near his head on on Sept 1. Mike said “it’s not about revenge.”

The best revenge includes saying it wasn’t about revenge.

NY Jets players & coaches sent home this morning after a presumptive positive player test for COVID-19, but it turned out to be false positive.

I suppose I shouldn’t make a joke about well, who really thought Jets players could catch anything?

Second Presidential debate originally scheduled for Miami next week has been canceled. So how many flies had to cancel vacation travel plans to Florida?

If Trump has found the cure to COVID-19 why hasn’t he given it to Chris Christie so his friend can get well and out of the hospital?

Headline that “Nine people who attended Trump rally in Minnesota contracted coronavirus.” Uh, after “Minnesota” and before “contracted” insert “admitted.”

Remember, Dear Leader said “if you don’t have a test, you don’t have a case.”

Meanwhile Trump is hosting a White House event Saturday.

I didn’t know the Masque of the Red Death had a sequel.

I like Senators and Presidents who aren’t afraid of taking COVID-19 tests.

Rumors are flying that Lindsey Graham has COVID-19. Lindsey got his debate canceled tonight when Jaime Harrison simply asked him to take a rapid test before going on stage, and Graham refused.

A wise journalist friend once responded when asked why a politician was repeatedly dodging a question – “Because he must feel the truth is more damaging than any speculation.”

Joe Biden and Kamala Harris sent good wishes and prayers last week to Trump when he was in the hospital. Now Donald, who never acknowledged those kind words, is back to the insults. Build Back Better isn’t just for our economy. It’s for our nation’s soul.

Hard count?

October 9, 2020

So who had “Tom Brady losing track of downs at the end of the game” on their 2020 batsh*t bingo card?

Although he clearly held up 4 fingers for what would have been “5th down,” Tom Brady denies he lost track of downs on Tampa Bay’s last possession Thursday night against Bears. Wonder if just to be sure, Sean Payton buys a pocket counting device before MNF for Drew Brees?

As Miami Marlins were embarrassingly swept out of the NLDS, only good news for team might be that with all their postseason games in afternoon, many sports fans probably won’t even realize they were playing.

I know it’s not currently cool to root for the Astros after the cheating scandal. But if anyone in baseball deserves a ring, it’s Dusty Baker. Life is complicated.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott ruled Harris County w/ 4.7 million can have ONE ballot drop box. To put this in perspective, Palo Alto, California, where I live, has a population of 66,000, & FOUR ballot drop boxes. And Santa Clara County, population 1.9 million has about 90 drop boxes.

Trump thinks a doctor’s note will make it okay for Joe Biden to debate him in person. The same doctor who says Donald is 6’3″ and 244 lbs? Two words. Yeah. Right.

Open note to GOP Senators who might be having 2nd thoughts about Trump / McConnell’s efforts to ram through SCOTUS pick: Hearings should have been no sooner than after election BEFORE WH COVID-19 outbreak. But if you want to use health over conscience as an excuse, fine by me.

Lindsay Graham apparently doesn’t want to take a COVID-19 test before debating Jaime Harrison tomorrow night. Bad enough that Graham plays golf with Trump, now he’s emulating Dear Leader in playing with people’s lives.

Fox News asks Donald Trump Thursday “Do you feel contagious?’ This is like cops pulling people over who are weaving all over the road and asking “Do you feel drunk?”

Trump also told Fox’s Maria Bartiromo “I’ll be tested very soon.” As soon as he releases his beautiful health plan?

So the suspects who allegedly wanted to kidnap Michigan Governor Whitman met in… a hidden basement? The only way it would be more perfect is if it were the basement of a pizza parlor.

Let’s see, attacking Gov. of Michigan after plot was revealed to try to kidnap & maybe kill her, then blaming Gold Star families for his COVID-19. So Donald Trump now plans to win without votes of either women or military?

You know who wouldn’t condemn a plot to kidnap and potentially kill a rival? Vladimir Putin.’

So let me get this straight. Since next Presidential Debate has been turned to a virtual format, Donald Trump won’t do it because it’s a “joke.”

But Donald has no problem having Senators question his SCOTUS nominee in a virtual format for a lifetime appointment?

Reports are that vulnerable Senate Republicans are now trying to hold onto their seats by distancing themselves from Trump. Too late. To paraphrase Colin Powell, it’s time to apply Pottery Barn rule of democracy – You break it, you own it.

Fly on the wall?

October 8, 2020

Side note. Good night for Yankees to have most Americans watching VP debate instead of ALDS game against Rays.

Rough night for Fox. Pence at best had a draw in debate which won’t move the needle much in the election. And worse the Yankees are now one game from elimination. #Ratings.

Once again why does ANYONE care what Rick Santorum thinks? (ICYMI, he lost his Senate re-election bid by 18 points.)

Really love the GOP theory that Hillary conspired with Russia to lose the election so Democrats could smear Donald Trump. Are they all delusional on steroids?

Look who cracked the top 10 in COVID-19 case increases for the past week – District of Columbia + 47%

I missed the Trump tweet taking credit.

Three GOP Senators w/ COVID-19, several others in quarantine. Mitch McConnell on DC now “I do think there have been risky behaviors, but not in the Senate.” Fixed it for him “but not on the Democratic side of the Senate.” Which is soon to be the majority side.

Legendary former Seminoles coach Bobby Bowden, 90, has COVID. Also, FSU said university president John Thrasher, who attended Oct 3 football game against Jacksonville State, has tested positive. I missed Governor Ron DeSantis tweet taking credit.

Susan Collins complained Sara Gideon is “trying to convince the people of Maine that somehow I am no longer the same person.” Well, maybe because since Trump got into office, Collins IS no longer the same person.

Same Trump campaign that figured they could get suburban women’s votes by “threatening” them with visits by Beto O’Rourke and Cory Booker probably figureed that having a man interrupt & talk down to his female opponent was a good VP debate strategy.

“I will not sit here and be lectured by the Vice President.” Kamala Harris.

How much will we all be glad not to be lectured any more by this Vice President?

But so a week from now will anyone remember anything from #VPDebate except the fly?

https://store.joebiden.com/truth-over-flies-fly-swatter/

Great idea, the fly swatter, already sold out. Hey, maybe unlike Trump signature the fly swatters could be sold on Ebay for big $$$. (How jealous would that make Donald?)

In all seriousness, we know COVID-19 is airborne. The fly had no trouble getting around the plexiglass. Kamala Harris needs to be tested again, regularly, and probably distanced for a while from Joe Biden.

And now VP Pence plans to hold in-person campaign event at Central Florida’s Villages, largest 55 & over community in US, largely white, and traditionally conservative. In a state expected to be close, is it really good idea to try to kill off your supporters?

US death toll now over 211,000, as Trump now calls COVID-19 a “blessing from God.” You know, I remember when we thought only primitive societies believed in the myth of human sacrifice.

Channel surfing

When you hear anyone in MLB or baseball complaining about a lack of national interest in the game, reminder that not only are the Divisional Series only on TBS, FS1 and MLB Network, but also, even in the midst of a pandemic where so many Americans are looking for escapist entertainment, even the League Championship Series will be only on TBS.

The World Series will be on Fox. When no doubt if it’s not Dodgers – Yankees they will be complaints that fans don’t really know either team.

LSU is going to stop temperature checks for fans entering the football stadium this weekend, AND start selling alcohol.

What could possibly go wrong?

Meanwhile, wishing Bobby well. But will even this story convince some in Florida to take COVID-19 seriously? “Bobby Bowden, 90, was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday as he undergoes treatment for COVID-19.”

Mike Pence team finally agreed to plexiglass dividers for Oct. 7 VP debate with Kamala Harris, saying they don’t “think it’s needed,” but “if she’s more comfortable, then that’s fine”

On brand, from birth control to COVID-19, GOP always seems to be against using protection.

There is right now more drug testing necessary to be a long snapper in the NFL than to be President of the United States.

Tuesday night the NY Times endorsed Joe Biden. For those who originally had another 1st choice, remember that the women that NY Times originally endorsed, Elizabeth Warren and Amy Klobuchar, are both valued Biden surrogates who will play important roles in Joe’s administration.

Now Ivanka has fled to work at home. But you know who can’t work at home? The White House residence staff. Those who make Donald’s bed, cook his food, and bring him his Diet Coke. Trump is the most ANTI Life President ever.

Thoroughly disliked Ronald Reagan, but Patti Davis tells story on to Anderson Cooper, on after he was shot, her dad said he’d never forget looking out of window of car speeding to hospital, seeing people lying in pools of blood from bullets meant for him. Can anyone imagine Donald saying that?

I’m running as a proud Democrat, but I’ll govern as an American president…I’ll work as hard for those who don’t support me as those who do.” Joe Biden gave a great speech at Gettysburg Tuesday. All networks should have given the same time replaying that speech tonight as they did to Donald’s helicopter prime-time sunset charade last night.

Think they did?

Donald Trump on the Titanic would be telling fellow passengers not to let a little ice dominate them, while he bullied his way past women & children into one of the few remaining lifeboats.

Remember the worst drunk tweet or text you ever sent? Then read POTUS tweets Tuesday night in the midst of roid rage. And give yourself a pass.

Seriously. We wonder how Trump keeps supporters? Took one for the team to watch local Fox affiliate KTVU, which I watched for decades in Northern Californi before they became more “Fox.” Headlines were “New support for stimulus” & “Pres. signaled new support for stand alone stimulus bills.”

As opposed to “Crazy man on steroids contradicts himself in tweet storm.”

If your elderly parent had been discharged from hospital and was ranting, in person or on Twitter, like Donald Trump is doing Tuesday night, you’d be calling the doctor in a panic to re-admit them and check their meds.

Joe Biden – “I think if he still has covid we shouldn’t have a debate.” Again, 1 of 2 things is true. Either Trump had COVID back on Sept 29 & risked Joe’s health in 1st debate – OR if Donald really just tested positive on Oct 2 then he’ll still be contagious Oct 15. Which is it?

The way we were.

October 6, 2020

As a New Orleans Saints fan I’m really looking forward to returning to times when we can just ignore politics and enjoy simple things like the Atlanta Falcons being 0-4.

All postseason MLB Games will be played at a hotel of four stadiums: The AL will be playing all their games at Dodgers Stadium and Petco Park.

On day one, 27 runs in two games between As-Astros and Yankees-Rays. And all four teams have to be thinking “Wait, aren’t these supposed to be pitchers’ parks.

Trevor Noah tonight talking about all the COVID-19 cases after Donald’s Rose Garden party and later receptions for Amy Coney Barrett – “That’s not karma, that’s consequences.” Can’t it be both?

But if Karma were a big cat lying in wait for this administration, she probably couldn’t pick a better time to pounce than during an event where they were dancing on the not-yet-dug grave of one of the most beloved women in America.

Remember back when Amy Klobuchar’s husband had COVID-19? He left hospital after five days, but she & her daughter still couldn’t be with him in person for over a week because he was potentially contagious. But Trump has no problem risking health of countless people at the White House.

At least with Donald Trump leaving Walter Reed presume his loud cult members will disperse from in front of the hospital and the real heroes being treated there can get some sleep.

So when White House staffers including housekeeping and kitchen workers get too sick to come to work, will Trump call them “suckers” and “losers?”

Millions of Americans have voted by mail every election for decades & GOP now saying vote by mail is illegitimate way to elect someone.

Only 150 Senate hearings have been done partially remotely during pandemic & GOP now remote hearings are as legitimate way to fill lifetime SCOTUS appointment?

So one of two things is true. Either Trump had COVID much of last week & risked the health of Joe Biden & others during debate, or he was first positive on Thursday when Donald admitted getting tested in which case he will be contagious during NEXT week’s debate? Which is it?

This White House is turning into a COVID remake of Agatha’s Christie’s “And then there were none.”

So Donald Trump didn’t risk infecting enough people the first time, he RETURNED to White House balcony, unmasked, to reshoot his photo-op entrance. Like a Bridezilla demanding to redo her wedding pictures.

Was Donald Trump looking to recreate Eva Peron’s famous balcony scene tonight? And if so has anyone told him that Evita died not long after it?

Joe Biden, who doesn’t have COVID-19, wears mask to protect people around him. Donald Trump, who has COVID-19 & is still contagious, demands to return to White House to infect people around him. “Siri, what’s the difference between a leader and a despot?”

Low blows.

October 5, 2020

You think you’re not performing at your best these days? Four weeks into the season, the Philadelphia, Washington, Dallas & NY Giants NFL teams have a combined THREE wins between the four of them.

Again, such a small point in the grand scheme of things…but since truth does still matter, why is NBC continually showing pretty pictures of San Francisco…. when the 49ers play 45 miles south in Santa Clara?

Yikes. Now Claudia Conway has COVID-19. So guessing Kellyanne was as careful and considerate with her own family as the Trump White House has been with our country.

Some pundits are wondering if Donald Trump’s getting COVID-19 will get him to take the virus seriously.

You know who didn’t need to get sick to take the virus seriously? Joe Biden.

A recent ABC News-Ipsos poll found 72% say Trump has not taken the risk of contracting COVID-19 seriously enough. Which means 28% STILL think Donald has done everything right?

Btw, besides his video and insane photo op, Donald did find time to tweet a favorable poll from the Express. The Express is a right-wing United Kingdom tabloid famous for years for publishing Princess Diana murder conspiracy theories.

Washington Post reports that Trump “probably cannot see (his MAGA supporters) from his window, given the trees, but perhaps he hears them. They are very loud.” And how about the wounded soldiers and veterans recovering at Walter Reed who just want to sleep?

If Mitch McConnell were already MINORITY leader, not only would we not have this dangerous rush to ram through RBG’s replacement but also Senate would have passed COVID-19 relief package for those who desperately need it. Along with hundreds of other bills.

So how many agents are now at risk and/or may have to quarantine? Anyone who joins the Secret Service knows you might have to take a bullet to protect the President. But the job title shouldn’t include needing to protect yourself FROM the President.

Thousands of people couldn’t get as close to their loved ones dying in hospitals as Donald Trump got today to supporters he doesn’t even know.

So much attention to Donalds little joy ride today. But when is someone in media going to point out that the guy in the slow-moving Black Chevy Suburban is already responsible for a lot more deaths than the guy in the White Bronco.

Girls rule

October 4, 2020

Because we need moments like this. Especially us girls.

As Virginia faced #1 Clemson tonight in college football, 7 players and 1 coach were out due to COVID-19 testing. I’m so old I remember when it was a weak nonconference opponent being paid to play a top college team that they referred to as a “body-bag game.”

I love sports. But NFL players are well-paid adults making choices. College students are unpaid and not really adults Anyone but me having a really really hard time with the thought of watching college football?

Lakers-Heat game 3 Sunday. So is anyone watching the last two games in the NBA Season?

Just saw a clip of Russell Wilson saying after the Seahawks win over the Cowboys ‘There’s Nothing Really That Can Get To Me’ Uh, maybe he should talk to Cam Newton?

Remember when we used to make jokes about the stories coming out of North Korea about Dear Leader’s health?

Your reminder, Donald Trump’s doctors say he is 6’3″ and 244 pounds.

I suppose it would be really churlish to come up with a t-shirt saying “I went to a Trump event and all I got was a lousy case of COVID.”

Never have quite understood Chris Christie’s loyalty to Trump as much as Donald has humiliated him over the years. Hoping that loyalty ends up only costing Christie his pride.

As an American, hoping the President recovers. But to anyone asking how a near-death experience might affect Donald Trump – I give you Steve Scalise.

How do you make “substantial progress” against something that is “99% harmless?”

So how long until Trump’s doctors say they would release his medical records at Walter Reed except that they are under ‘routine audit?”

So many different contradictory stories coming out about Donald’s condition, including from Mark Meadows. But in this last one – “He is up and about and asking for documents to review.” Uh, does anyone think even a healthy Trump reviews documents?

Remember watching debate noticing that Donald wasn’t interrupting so much last 1/2 hour & sounded increasingly tired. Told my husband, “maybe the Adderall wore off.” Now wondering, did Trump “accidentally” arrive too late for pre-debate COVID-19 testing.

Dr. Fauci would have told Trump not to have that Rose Garden ceremony. Just saying.

If ghoulish White House celebration party to replace Ruth Bader Ginsburg before she was even buried turns out to be most devastating Super Spreader event, please don’t call it tragic. Because tragedy involves a hero with a fatal flaw. And there were NO heroes at that party.

Senators Thom Tillis and Mike Lee say they will isolate for 10 days after testing positive for COVID-19 Uh, CDC guidelines say 14(!) days. And ignoring CDC guidelines has served Trump and his GOP cronies so well so far….

Legendary

October 3, 2020

Damn, Bob Gibson. I really fell in love with baseball as a kid in the 1968 World Series when Mickey Lolich outdueled him. But the older I got, the more special I realized Gibson was. Wonder who Bob’s going to hit in the ribs in a softball game tomorrow in heaven. RIP.

My favorite Bob Gibson story. Gibson was a very fierce competitor, and if you showed him up, or even hit a home run off him, his reputation was that you might be hit by a pitch the next time up. Someone once asked him, well after he retired, if he really threw at people’s heads.Bob’s response “Nah, heads move around too much. I always went for the ribs.”

Well, at least Cubs picked a day to be humiliatingly swept out of the first round of the MLB playoffs by the Marlins without almost anyone noticing.

If you’re feeling tired, imagine how many finished skits writers at SNL have already probably had to redo or completely throw out in last couple days?

When a Supreme Court Judge died about a month before the 1864 election, Abraham Lincoln waited until after the election to nominate a new Justice. Thinking with hindsight after what looks to have been a Superspreader RoseGarden event, an increasing number of Republicans are positively in favor of that choice.

Senators Mike Lee and Thom Tillis have tested positive for COVID-19.

Apparently at the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing yesterday the Senator closest to Mike Lee was Ted Cruz. I do not think I should say anything about this.

So did Scott Atlas told Donald Trump this was a great opportunity to test herd immunity in the West Wing?

Increasingly looking like the only lives Trump really saved were those of the people he fired.

“The President will be admitted as a Coronavirus patient.” It was two weeks ago tonight that RBG died. This last month has been the longest year ever.

CNN’s Dana Bash pointed out that Donald Trump was airlifted from the same White House lawn where he gave his RNC acceptance speech.

Irony, your regular table is ready.

Biden didn’t stay in his basement for 2 months because he was a coward. Joe Biden stayed in his basement for 2 months because Joe was decent & brave enough to accept Trump’s attacks on him, instead of risking lives.

That’s leadership. That’s our next President.

Prayer for 2020:

Now I lay me down to sleep.

Pray the Lord my soul to keep

If I die before I wake.

Pray the Lord to track my absentee ballot.

Positive

October 2, 2020

Anderson Cooper is live now on CNN. Having a five month baby probably at least has him in the habit of being up at 3am.

Scary thought. So how close did potential super spreader COVIDiot Donald Trump get to Joe Biden Tuesday night?

Fully expect that Joe Biden as soon as he hears, will tweet serious well wishes to Donald and Melania Trump. It is who Joe is.

Have to ask, would this have happened if Trump listened more to Dr. Fauci than to Dr. Atlas?

She’s relatively young and presumably in a low-risk group. But how many people who have met with Trump this week have also met with Amy Coney Barrett? Another reason to shut this charade of a SCOTUS nomination process down.

Just realized, Donald was so rattled tonight in his tweet he didn’t call it the “China Virus.”

Oddly enough Donald Trump was heading to Florida tomorrow, where Governor Ron DeSantis has opened all bars and restaurant, and eliminated mask mandates.

And then Donald was going to Wisconsin Saturday, which has already become one of the biggest COVID-19 hotspots.

So for those states, small mercies.

How quickly things change. Earlier Thursday this was the big news: Even after a GOP state legislator got COVID-19 in late May, Republicans in Pennsylvania have been fighting Gov. Tom Wolf on masks. And now, PA House voting session cancelled because another GOP State Rep. tested positive this morning.

And it was about 12 hours before I wrote this that we were all worked about because Kayleigh McEnany referred to Rhodes College in Memphis graduate Amy Coney Barrett as a “Rhodes” scholar?

I miss slow news days.

Walking on empty…

October 1, 2020

There were 19(!) walks in Yankees-Indians game tonight. Tied postseason record. And how many of us who used to be youth baseball parents had painful little league flashbacks?

Meanwhile not honestly sure what’s worse…being an SF Giants fan and watching team miss out on playoffs by losing three very winnable games in a row the last weekend of season. Or being a Twins fan and watching team make playoffs and then set a record for consecutive losses in the postseason. (18)

No runner on 2nd and nobody out rule in extra innings in the playoffs. Although as Reds-Braves ending up 0-0 going into 13th MLB might be rethinking that decision.

As Trump said he ‘brought back Big Ten football,’ can we remind him of this – IF the season actually gets starts, and WHEN the COVID-19 cases in the Midwest get even worse?

Washington Post reports a Rand study found “U.S. alcohol consumption has increased strikingly during pandemic.” Uh, they needed a “study” for that?

Mississippi with COVID-19 cases increasing, is eliminating mask mandate. Gov. Reeves “believes masks work” But “we have to trust people to look after themselves & make wise decisions.” So is GOP Gov. getting rid of speed limits & DUI laws too?

More I think about it, more I think Amy Klobuchar nailed it with comparison of Donald Trump to a heckler at a ballgame: Because it’s not just being loud & annoying – a heckler only knows how to criticize – without the ability or a real plan how to do anything better.

Anyone who’s been on a Zoom call knows a simple solution for the next debate. The host mutes everyone who isn’t supposed to be talking. Problem solved. You’re welcome.

One thing I learned with last night’s debate: Not that it was on my list, but I now have absolutely, positively no interest in ever attending a cage match.

If Donald really doesn’t know who the Proud Boys are, then why would he think he needs to tell them to stand down? Asking for a really tired country.

Trump told “Proud Boys” to “stand back and stand by.” And if after listening to Donald for years, Tim Scott really thinks he “misspoke” then maybe Senator Scott needs a cognitive test.

Donald Trump tweeting today about debate – “HIGHEST CABLE TELEVISION RATINGS OF ALL TIME. SECOND HIGHEST OVERALL TELEVISION RATINGS OF ALL TIME.” Well yes, highest rated parts of NASCAR races sadly are usually the wrecks.

For those who remember Sister Mary Elephant, and Cheech and Chong, (and records) … Chris Wallace last night in the debate was as if the record got stuck and we just kept hearing “class, class, class, class, class, class, class, class…..

If Donald Trump is bound and determined not to let Joe Biden be heard in the next debate, maybe Katie Porter could loan Joe her white board?

Donald thinks he won the debate, “every poll I saw, I won the debate.” Did Trump use his map Sharpie on polls too?

CNN reports a source says that Donald thinks he did well last night. Can we start calling Trump the “Participation Trophy President?”
