Legendary

Damn, Bob Gibson. I really fell in love with baseball as a kid in the 1968 World Series when Mickey Lolich outdueled him. But the older I got, the more special I realized Gibson was. Wonder who Bob’s going to hit in the ribs in a softball game tomorrow in heaven. RIP.

My favorite Bob Gibson story. Gibson was a very fierce competitor, and if you showed him up, or even hit a home run off him, his reputation was that you might be hit by a pitch the next time up. Someone once asked him, well after he retired, if he really threw at people’s heads.Bob’s response “Nah, heads move around too much. I always went for the ribs.”

Well, at least Cubs picked a day to be humiliatingly swept out of the first round of the MLB playoffs by the Marlins without almost anyone noticing.

If you’re feeling tired, imagine how many finished skits writers at SNL have already probably had to redo or completely throw out in last couple days?

When a Supreme Court Judge died about a month before the 1864 election, Abraham Lincoln waited until after the election to nominate a new Justice. Thinking with hindsight after what looks to have been a Superspreader RoseGarden event, an increasing number of Republicans are positively in favor of that choice.

Senators Mike Lee and Thom Tillis have tested positive for COVID-19.

Apparently at the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing yesterday the Senator closest to Mike Lee was Ted Cruz. I do not think I should say anything about this.

So did Scott Atlas told Donald Trump this was a great opportunity to test herd immunity in the West Wing?

Increasingly looking like the only lives Trump really saved were those of the people he fired.

“The President will be admitted as a Coronavirus patient.” It was two weeks ago tonight that RBG died. This last month has been the longest year ever.

CNN’s Dana Bash pointed out that Donald Trump was airlifted from the same White House lawn where he gave his RNC acceptance speech.

Irony, your regular table is ready.

Biden didn’t stay in his basement for 2 months because he was a coward. Joe Biden stayed in his basement for 2 months because Joe was decent & brave enough to accept Trump’s attacks on him, instead of risking lives.

That’s leadership. That’s our next President.

Prayer for 2020:

Now I lay me down to sleep.

Pray the Lord my soul to keep

If I die before I wake.

Pray the Lord to track my absentee ballot.
