Brackets, brackets, who’s got brackets?

So I wasn’t paying close attention to the NCAATournament  brackets. What seed did the Philadelphia 76ers get.

Cal vs  Hawaii in an opening round match-up in the South bracket. And we wonder why American kids are so bad at geography.

A two-hour ‪#‎SelectionSunday‬ show? Really?! But give the ‪#‎NCAA‬ & ‪#‎CBS a few years, they’ll probably get it up to four hours.

 –

#‎StMarys‬ is out of the ‪#‎NCAATournament‬. But maybe the Gaels can continue ‪#‎Stanford‬‘s Northern California ‪#‎NIT‬ dominance.

LSU turned down an NIT invitation and said they will not play in this postseason. Well, with 38 points in the SEC opening game not like they played in that tournament either.

SF Giants infield definitely leading the league in college boys – Posey/FSU, Belt/Texas, Panik/St. Johns, Crawford/UCLA, Duffy/Long Beach St, Susac/Oregon State, Tomlinson/Texas Tech… And Mac Williamson/Wake Forest, Osich/Oregon State, Samardzjia/Notre Dame….
Should be fun during March Madness.

Mississippi State’s Dak Prescott, expected to be one of the first QB’s taken in next month’s draft, was arrested yesterday for DUI. So was Prescott just trying to prove he’s NFL ready?

ESPN is reporting that at “at least 3 former University of Louisville men’s basketball recruits have confirmed to NCAA investigators that they attended parties inside an on-campus dorm where strippers danced for them and prostitutes were paid to have sex with them.”
Kind of makes you wonder what the schools that beat out Louisville for recruits offered?

New York’s Mayor de Blasio tweets about Donald Trump “Of course he’s a racist.” Well, and I’m sure GOP primary voters care a lot what a liberal NY mayor thinks.

A Florida man who warned officers he was speeding to get home to the bathroom was arrested and then ended up urinating and defecating in the police car. ‪#‎ifonlyhewasarmed‬ ‪#‎YourmoveTexas‬

John Boehner has endorsed ‪#‎JohnKasich‬ for President. So much for any orange solidarity movement.

Marco Rubio won the D.C. GOP Primary with 37.3 % of the vote. Does that mean there are at least 37.3 Republicans in Washington, D.C.?

President Obama has apparently narrowed his choices to replace Antonin Scalia on the Supreme Court down to three. So will the GOP stand fast with their threats not to give them a hearing? Or will they roll the dice and take the chance on a replacement pick being from Clinton, Sanders, or Trump?

Donald Trump, playing the blame game on violence at his rallies “Bernie Sanders is lying when he says his disruptors aren’t told to go to my events. Be careful Bernie, or my supporters will go to yours!”
Wait, I thought this was all Obama’s fault.

Withdrawal.

Monday night, male sports fans across America had to do without the NCAA’s men’s college basketball tournament for the first time in six days. On the other hand,  there was the opening round of “Dancing with the Stars.” 

So wonder how many men had their first serious glimpse of the Stanford and Tennessee women?

The latest in a long line of  “Does this really need a punchline?” The Las Vegas deputy district attorney who prosecuted Paris Hilton for cocaine possession was arrested over the weekend for allegedly buying cocaine.

–

Inspired by my friend Jerry Perisho, who said “Barry Bonds is on trial?? I don’t even remember him killing anybody.”   Yeah, but if he had killed someone he would have been acquitted by now.

–

The rumors are that CBS wants Charlie Sheen back for “Two and a half men.” Will the book someone will someday write about this whole episode be titled “Smart networks, foolish choices?”

–

Tennessee fired men’s basketball coach Bruce Pearl over recruiting violations which have already led to an NCAA investigation.  The Vols were eliminated in the tournament’s first real round by Michigan 75-45.   Just  wondering, if Tennessee were into the Sweet Sixteen, would the school be somehow blaming it all on Pearl’s father?

And wonder if Lane Kiffin is recommending Pearl as the next head basketball coach at USC?

Tiger Woods’ latest girlfriend is 22 years old, and was arrested last year for DUI with a blood alcohol level of .21. And now she’s dating Tiger? Sounds like her judgment is still impaired.

At one point in today’s NCAA women’s basketball tournament, St. Johns was ahead of Stanford 22-16. Stanford ended up winning by 25 after being ahead by 30.

So what did Tara Vanderveer say to motivate her team – “Ladies, you’re playing like boys?”

For any sports fans who think the NBA doesn’t have enough parity between the haves and have-nots, I give you NCAA women’s basketball. While UCLA lost tonight to Gonzaga, AT GONZAGA, in the tournament, they had only four previous losses all year. And three of them were to Stanford.

And anyone who hates tacky can stop reading now:

A South Carolina man who twice pleaded guilty to having sex with a horse has been released from prison after 16 months but put on probation and ordered to stay away from the animal. Good thing Prince Charles has diplomatic immunity.
