And then there was one (game).

October 29, 2019

Worst thing about a World Series Game 7.

There’s no chance of a Game 8.

Winter is coming.

Speaking of which, two things MLB is thrilled about. That a home run by Anthony Rendon made a controversial inference call moot. And that the Colorado Rockies are not in the World Series with home field advantage.  https://twitter.com/Rockies/status/1189256049070628865

The “running inside the baseline” rule is enough to make casual baseball fans long for the simplicity of the infield fly rule.

On April 27 of this year, White Sox home game was snowed out. Now Chicago may have snow on Halloween. But sure, there’s no climate change….

World Series Game 7 Wednesday.  Who’s going to be the first pundit to proclaim “Win or Go Home?

New Phillies manager Joe Girardi “It means a lot to me that the fans are behind me.” Too soon to start a pool on the first time he’ll be booed in Philadelphia?

If it was a “perfect call,” why not release the audio, not a transcript? Asking for a country.

As GOP tries to swift-boat Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, a Purple Heart recipient, and call him a Never Trumper, remember, they’d go after that “beautiful talented” dog who chased al-Bhagdadi if he growled at Dear Leader.

New fundraising email from Trump, Don Jr. offering a signed copy of “my new book Triggered: How the Left Thrives on Hate and Wants to Silence Us.” Does anyone believe Donnie wrote, or read, a book either?

Newt Gingrich “Having been speaker of the House, (Nancy Pelosi) can probably pass this (impeachment) resolution if she’s suicidal, but she’s going to kill their majority.” Well, to be fair if anyone knows about killing a majority with an impeachment inquiry…

Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) discovered that a Republican Senate retreat will be hosted at Trump Hotel in DC,  and that hotel rates will be $1,345 for one night in a “premier” room and $1,395 for a booking in a “deluxe” room. When a one week before the event the cheapest room could be booked for $445.

(And by comparison, the 5 star Mandarin Oriental in DC has rooms starting at $555 that night. And the deluxe Watergate hotel has rooms under $400.)
