So NBA has a generational talent (& interesting young man) Victor Wembanyama with the Spurs.

And Anthony Edwards returning from injury sooner than anyone expected.

And they’re starting round 2 of NBA playoffs at nearly 9pm in San Antonio.

Even though they’re playing another central time zone team in the Timberwolves.

Almost 10pm on the East Coast. And only on Peacock

Game finished after midnight on the East Coast. After 11p on a school night for local fans of both teams.

Not up in the air

Hard to feel sorry for pro athletes making big money.


But San Antonio Spurs had yesterday’s 2p game in Charlotte moved up 11a in hopes of beating the bomb cyclone. Didn’t work. Team still sat on plane for 2 hrs before it was cancelled.

So they rescheduled for this morning, had the flight to San Antonio diverted to Atlanta for a mechanical issue. Finally made it back about 4p, (And had their game start time vs Orlando delayed twice, from 3p to 6p to 8pm.)

Even chartered planes are no match for Mother Nature

JD Vance told another racist lie today that ER wait times are long because of “illegal aliens.” But when ACA subsidies go away, many Americans will have to let their insurance lapse. So does JD think poor citizens should die too? Or only the black and brown ones?

But SF Giants manager Bob Melvint putting Ryan Walker into today’s game with a 4-2 lead to try to save the last start of the year for Justin Verlander should have been listed under “Insanity” in the dictionary

With the government about to shutdown, Trump took Friday off to attend the Ryder Cup.

Now “Europe has set a record for largest Ryder Cup lead going into Sunday singles under format that dates to 1979: Europe 11.5, USA 4.5.” Almost as if #ETTD

Noticing the Sunday Shows lineups: ABC, NBC & CBS, CNN all have both Democrats and Republicans.

Fox News Sunday has just J.D. Vance, while Fox Sunday Futures has 3 Republicans & John Fetterman.

And some wonder why Fox News viewers have a warped view of the world?

Trump now telling parents to have five separate vaccine appointments. At the same time he and GOP are stripping healthcare from millions of Americans. And many working parents already struggle to find time for every doctor visit.

For those worried that Trump’s will use potential shutdown as justification to order agencies to fire federal employees working for programs that are “not consistent with the president’s priorities.” We know he wants to fire those people eventually anyway.

Sinclair’s ABC stations stopped preempting “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” starting Sept. 26. Sounds like genuflecting before Trump took a back seat to ratings and profits…

Oh please. As Trump says he is now releasing Amelia Earhart files, remember, the aviator was 39 when she disappeared. An age when Donald probably would have said “She wouldn’t have been my choice.”
