Under the Trump administration, federal government employees, no matter how productive they had been, were ORDERED to return to the office full time or lose their jobs.

But DOT Secretary Duffy says he did “some work” on his seven month road trip….

(Now, he’s adding that most of this was done on weekends and spring break for the kids. – Apparently United Airlines gave them free tickets to and from many of the destinations. How nice for them.)

So NBA has a generational talent (& interesting young man) Victor Wembanyama with the Spurs.

And Anthony Edwards returning from injury sooner than anyone expected.

And they’re starting round 2 of NBA playoffs at nearly 9pm in San Antonio.

Even though they’re playing another central time zone team in the Timberwolves.

Almost 10pm on the East Coast. And only on Peacock

Game finished after midnight on the East Coast. After 11p on a school night for local fans of both teams.

Way to grow the game Adam Silver especially with children.

This should not be as exciting as it is in May.

Can’t wait to see the first fans of teams ranked 77-80 scream that they were unfairly excluded.

Fortunately for Stanford, the Crown Basketball Tournament is not nationally televised.

(Yeah, I know the “Crown Basketball Tournament,” I hadn’t heard of it either.)

But Stanford was up with 3 with 9 seconds to go, missed a game clinching field goal, and then while trying to foul to avoid a game-tying 3 pointer, managed to foul a West Virgina player heaving the ball from half court. He then hit all three fouls and the Mountaineers won in OT.

But yeah, Cayden Boozer’s bad pass almost looks good by comparison)

Not a good night for Los Angeles NBA Teams. Lakers lost by over 40 to the Thunder, and lost Luka to a hamstring injury. Then the Clippers faced the Spurs with Wemby resting, and lost by 20.

Might almost make you feel sorry for Los Angeles sports fans. Except… the Dodgers.

Opening daze

Anyone know how many MLB opening days and nights there are this week?

Instead of some overseas opener, MLB made the SF Giants and New York Yankees play Wednesday night, ONLY on Netflix (and radio)

At 5:05pm – a ridiculous time for fans to try to reach Oracle Park in San Francisco with traffic, and not the traditional day opener the SF Giants prefer. Not to mention that shadows will creep across the field in the late innings, making it hard for hitters to see the ball.

But the Giants are pretending that their real home opener is Friday, a day game. (Plus season ticket holders had to buy tickets for Monday and Tuesday against the “Sulantes” from Mexico.

  1. You have to know what state your college picks are located in.
  2. You have to name at least one player on each team.

Meanwhile, in the NBA, the Golden State Warriors finally got Steve Kerr his 600th win by beating the Washington Wizards, who after a brief spurt of mediocrity have now lost 12 in a row.

Been a rough stretch for the Wizards. They couldn’t even snag an NIT invitation.
