WTF ESPN? This headline “Iowa’s Clark- fan collide after Ohio States upset win.”

Uh, Ohio State fans stormed the court after their upset win and one of them crashed into Caitlin Clark, knocking her to the ground in pain. Fortunately she says she’s not injured but it was “kind of scary.”

I know women’s college basketball gets short shift to the men’s game on many things, but security shouldn’t be one of them.

(and hey, I get storming the court in excitement, but players should have been able to leave the court first.)

” Uh, the primaries aren’t close to over. Shouldn’t Ron be forced to take his campaign to term?

And “I don’t want to be anyone’s vice president.” Of course if he asks she’ll say she didn’t want it but will do for good of country.

Wow while rambling about January 6th, a confused Trump repeatedly blamed Nikki Haley for January 6th and says Halely (not Nancy Pelosi) was in charge of security for the Capitol.

President Biden was a childhood stutterer and has made verbal gaffes since he was a young man. He usually, however, corrects himse. But imagine if Joe Biden had said something half as insane about January 6.·

Three years ago this weekend, Inauguration morning. Ready for repeat in 2025. Except Deb Fischeras new ranking member of the Senate Rules committee, will be walking next to Amy Klobuchar up the Capitol steps.

(And another call out to retired Senator Roy Blunt. Many Republicans would not have been so gracious in helping Biden’s inauguration happen. There were serious doubts between COVID and after January 6 as to whether it could happen publicly.)

The Eagles are grounded?

Meanwhile, after a locals dug out the field and the seats, Buffalo Bills won handily in their rescheduled game, and will play the Kansas City Chiefs next week with game time temperatures expected to be in the 20s. Hope the players don’t overheat in that balmy weather.

Despite all these MAGAs upset about media attention with Taylor Swift dating Travis Kelce, all these Swifties suddenly tuning into football fans reminds me a bit when Tiger Woods burst on the scene… a whole new group of fans starting watching golf.

Remembering 2020 Iowa caucuses. One time I was especially impressed with Amy Klobuchar was, on shoe-string budget, while national media waited all night for final counts that never came, she took advantage of their boredom & called in; got free airtime to talk about her campaign.

Shame none of the media called her tonight. Klobuchar could have made it far more interesting with memories of 2020, or talking about Biden accomplishments, than what was apparently just nonstop rehashing of Iowa GOP primary voters doing exactly what the polls said they would do.

Nikki Haley says “if it’s Trump-Biden rematch, it’s going to be another toss-up election, could go either way, we could have more disputes over election inference…” It wasn’t a toss-up election. Biden won pretty handily. But Nikki can’t say that for fear of upsetting Donald.

Steve Kornacki reports only 10% of GOP Iowa caucus voters say “ability to beat Joe Biden” is top factor in them voting…. Maybe because Trump supporters know he’ll declare victory no matter what the vote total, and try again with new and improved coup attempt.

Dropped passes

Aaron Rodgers was dropped from the Pat McAfee Show after his lies about Jimmy Kimmel and Jeffrey Epstein.

How long until Aaron is invited on with Sean Hannity on Fox, or Tucker Carlson’s Twitter/X show?

On the first day that Draymond Green returned to the Golden State sideline after his suspension, (though he did not play) the Warriors lost to the New Orleans Pelicans 141-105. 

Good thing Draymond wasn’t on the floor. For all his positive talk about making changes  This game was so bad could imagine a reasonable player commiting a flagrant 2 or swearing at a referee just to get himself out of there.

Meanwhile, in what might turn out of have been a battle for ping-pong balls, the now 6-30 San Antonio Spurs and Wemby dismantled the now 3-35 Detroit Pistons.

Nick Saban is a Democrat. He could take a couple years to recharge and then in 2026 run for Senate in Alabama. Better man and MUCH better coach than Tommy Tuberville.

Would love for Nick Saban to run for U.S. Senate. Does it mean I think he’s better than Doug Jones? No. But if celebrities get elected because of how much sports matters in some states, I’d rather have smart guy with good politics. Maybe Lebron James might run some day in Ohio?

Chris Christie ias he suspended his campaign quoted Ben Franklin with the same line as Amy Klobuchar used in Senate speech on Jan 6 minutest before rioters broke in: “Our cause—despite our political differences—is to preserve our American democracy…because as someone once said ‘It’s a republic, if you can keep it.’”

Twelve Extreme MAGA Republicans including Marge Three Names tanked a procedural vote today to protest Mike Johnson’s spending deal with Chuck Schumer. You know who didn’t have these issues despite some extreme members and a razor thin majority? Nancy Pelosi.

If Chris Christie is serious about keeping Donald Trump out of White House here’s statement he could make. “I disagree with Joe Biden on many things, but he’s an honorable man who loves this country & democracy. If Trump is our nominee we should re-elect Biden & look ahead to 2028.”

Sore arm today after RSV shot. But also just heard about a client who had RSV turn into pneumonia and broke a rib from coughing.

I’ll happily continue to take every recommended vaccine in US. Including the next COVID booster when it shows up.

So not only will an SEC team not be in the College Football Playoff, no incoming SEC team (which could have been Texas) will be in the College Football Playoff. So will the SEC just buy the Big Ten now?

Has it occurred to anyone that Shohei Ohtani might be considering signing with the Toronto Blue Jays because it would guarantee him, as an immigrant, to be able to live and work in a country where Donald Trump absolutely will not be President?

How can Democrats support Maddow having Liz Cheney on? Same as we supported Ted Kennedy making deals w/ Orrin Hatch on ADA, & should support Amy Klobuchar who has journalism bill w/ John Kennedy & AI bill w/ Josh Hawley. Etc. USA can’t survive with us all in our own corners.

Apparently British Prime Minister David Cameron has yielded to his children’s pleas, along with requests from his staff who have seen several large rats,  and adopted a “predatory” cat whose job it will be to rid his office of vermin.

President Obama just wishes there was a cat who had the the same potential with lobbyists.

Donald Trump is burnishing his Conservative credentials in preparation for a possible 2012 run for the Presidency. Which include stating that he is against gay-marriage. Instead “The Donald” believes that marriage should be a sacred union between a man and a series of progressively younger women.

Donald Trump said that New York Mets owner Fred Wilpon wants him to buy part of the club but he declined. So let’s see, Trump is arrogant enough to think he can run for President and fix the United States, but not so arrogant as to think he can fix the Mets?.

After months of posturing from both sides Roger Goodell now says labor talks must accelerate to avert a strike. Sounds like the NFL is taking the same advance planning approach to a potential shutdown as the Cowboys did with those extra Super Bowl seats.

The St. Louis Cardinals have reportedly offered Albert Pujols $200 million for eight years, but Pujols may turn it down because it isn’t as high per year as A-Rod’s 10 year $275 million contract. So can someone explain to me exactly what you can buy with $275 million that you can’t buy with $200 million?

A recent survery of likely GOP primary voters in 2012 saids that 51% of them think President Obama wasn’t born in the U.S. 28 % think he was born here, 21 % aren’t sure. Maybe it’s time to change the song “God Bless America,” to “God Help America.”

Probable 2012 Presidential candidate Mike Huckabee said Monday that for him the issue of abortion “transcends” all other pressing concerns facing the country.

While good people can disagree on choice, its amazing how many of those who believe banning abortion is the MOST important issue are financially secure men with healthcare and jobs.
