So Donald took to social media to attack NFL owners for not picking Shedeur Sanders in the 1st round of the draft because Deion’s son has “PHENOMENAL GENES, and is all set for Greatness.” Now Shedeur hasn’t been drafted through THREE rounds. Almost as if #ETTD

Although as he talks about “phenomenal genes” we should remember that many have pointed out that Barron Trump was turned down by Harvard.

I’m sure Trump’s vendetta against Harvard has nothing to do with that.

For those trying to excuse Trump’s arresting a judge.. Yes, criminals should not walk free. But if undocumented people can be arrested simply when they appear in courtroom, what happens if immigrants witness crime, robbery, assault, even murder? They won’t show up as witnesses.

When Trump says “unlike every other President I took the cognitive test and I aced it 100%….” Your reminder. In general a cognitive test is not part of an average physical. A cognitive test is given to a patient suspected of having dementia or Alzheimers.

(and it’s not a test you “ace.” It’s more like pass-fail.”

US Bureau of Economic Analysis says California made $4.1 trillion in GDP last year. Pushing the state past Japan to be the 4th largest economy in the world. If Trump keeps cutting funding to the state, maybe California should stop paying federal taxes? Just saying.

A loss is a loss?

Well, the SF Giants and Los Angeles Dodgers both gave up 11 runs to their opponents on Tuesday night.

The Giants lost 11-3, the Dodgers blew a 10-7 lead late and lost 11-10 in ten innings.

They count the same in the standings.

Anyone else who remembers the original six NHL teams, or even when the league had about 20 teams, still have it feel a bit odd when you see a playoff game between Florida and Tampa??

–

So does Elon Musk in returning to Tesla think his potential buyers will all forget that little side hustle he had as acting President?

Two young men, one whose girlfriend had his ID, one whose mom had birth certificate, already mistakenly detained as undocumented immigrants. What makes anyone think Trump hasn’t already deported a US citizen. If someone is single & had no one to vouch for him, how would we know?

The Chicago White Sox were about to tie the game on a bases loaded single in the 9th inning today against the Cleveland Guardians. And then runner Mike Tauchman injured himself running around third and couldn’t make it to the plate. This might be one of the most White Sox losses ever.

Meanwhile, Mike Yastremski, who hit a three run home run to help SF Giants win 5-4 on Sunday, said at the time, his 3 year old Quinley asked me for a home run,” Yastrzemski said over the weekend.

–

Today Yaz admitted “Well, she asked me specifically for a triple, a home run and a splash hit.”

And he won the game with a 2-run splash hit in the 10th.

Maybe the SF Giants need to buy that girl a pony. Or something.

Meanwhile in Colorado, 11 games in the 2-9 Rockies have a -33 run differential. Which means not only are they losing, they are losing by an average of 3 runs per game. Ouch.

Wonder if any journalists were included on a SIGNAL chat about fake tariffs in order to manipulate the market.

As the biggest payroll in baseball Los Angeles Dodgers appeared at the White House today while our stock market craters, would it be wrong as an SF Giants fan to hope #ETTD?

At this point how many other countries would back Greenland or Canada in trying to annex the United States?

The best of teams the worst of teams.

Dodgers are now 8-0 after a comeback win against the lowly (0-7) Atlanta Braves.

Meanwhile, speaking of the bottom teams.

The former Oakland As , and probably future Las Vegas As just finished their home opening series against the Cubs.

They lost three games 3-18, 4-7 and 2-10.

It’s a minor league ballpark. And they are doing their best to play like a minor league team.

On the other hand, the team refused to put “Sacramento” in their name. Which these days the city of Sacramento has to feel pretty good about. At least their AAA team (the rivercats) is respectable.

Amy Klobuchar tonight w/ Lawrence O’Donnell “tourism is down 70% from Canada.” “People are pissed off.” Sen. Klobuchar doesn’t usually use that phrase, but Canadians don’t normally get that pissed off.

Wonder why Fox News viewers act brainwashed? Donald Trump wandered off the stage today and had to be reminded to sign his tariff executive orders.

What’s the Fox headline? “Top Biden aide describes ‘out of it’ president before Trump debate.”

Well well Yes the House is recalcitrant at best. But four GOP Senators actually stood up to Trump on tariffs on Canada.

So the President’s top campaign donor may be leaving DOGE and Donold’s inner circle. Would we say Elon’s being thrown not under the bus but under the Cybertruck?

People do sometimes vote for higher taxes to get a fairer systems. And I get it, if you’re comfortably off it’s easier. But many Trump voters voted purely for their own self-interest. They’re about to find out “A tariff is a tax.” is not just a Democratic talking point.

Meanwhile, coming soon to the GOP House Circus – new representative Randy Fine. Who won a Florida deep red district by about half the margin Trump had.

GOP Ron DeSantis said he nominated Fine for FAU president because “he repelled people in the (GOP led) state legislature. They wanted to get him out of the legislature, so they asked me to put him up for Florida Atlantic president”

And U Conn, a #2 seed, is the closest thing to a Cinderella left in the tournament.

All four mens teams and three of the other four women’s teams are #1 seeds.

Owner John Fisher could have had the As play in Oakland until if and when the Las Vegas stadium is built. Instead, he insisted the team move to the 14,000 capacity Sutter Heath Field in Sacramento.

Where it will be triple digit temperatures for much of the summer.

In a likely metaphor for the season, the A’s lost their season home opener, 18 to 3.

Hey Green Bay Wisconsin. No billionaire could pay you enough to root against the Packers. Why would you let a billionaire buy your Supreme Court vote?

Serious thought. Can believe Trump absolutely has no plans to leave the White House after his second term. But if he has dementia, as his father did, it will get worse and impossible to ignore before 2028. Then what?

Media: Democrats really need to do a better job of getting their message out.

Also media: Oooh, Velveeta Voldemort or his top campaign donor said something insane, let’s devote all our airtime/space to covering it.

Chris Murphy and Andy Kim (so far) joining Cory Booker tonight on Senate floor as Senator Booker continues his speech into the night to protest Trump/Doge administration policies. It’s not that we don’t have good Democratic leaders. But they don’t get the coverage that the other side’s crazies get.

Cory Booker’s been speaking for over 7 hrs & he’s doing far better job of explaining why Social Security is NOT a Ponzi scheme than Musk does at any time lying about it. Put simply, Booker is explaining how every insurance needs adjustments. & changes needed would be negligible.

Two games into the season, the Chicago White Sox, at 1-1, are tied for the lead in the AL Central. High watermark of 2025?

After the NHL worst San Jose Sharks lost 6-1 to the NY Rangers, the Rangers team bus apparently backed into Macklin Celebrini’s car in the parking lot.

Talk about a metaphor for the season.

Alysa Liu, a 19 year old who has already retired and come back, makes me feel old. But her winning the Figure Skating World Championship to the music of Donna Summer (MacArthur Park) makes me feel young!
