When an ACC sideline reporter decided to interview Andrew Luck during the big game between Stanford and Cal, Luck paused the interview to watch the next play.

Which turned out to be a 55 yard fumble recovery TD to give the Cardinal a 7-3 lead,.- with Luck running and cheering along from the sideline)

Well played Andrew, well played.

And Stanford went on to win 31-10

So not only did Stanford get the Axe, we got the Cal coach axed. (He was fired today)

DOT Secretary Sean Duffy says to help make air travel better, “Dress up to go to the airport, help a stranger out, and be in a good mood.”

And now that Trump’s DOT is getting rid of the required cash penalties for airlines canceling flights you’ll have to buy your own clothes without reimbursment if the alternative is sleeping in them.

The NY Knicks at 8-5 are off to a solid if not wildly impressive start.

OTOH, 11 weeks into the season with the two NY NFL teams having 4 wins, between them, the high side of mediocrity is looking pretty good.

If the Epstein Files incriminated Democrats Trump would have not only released them a long time ago, he’d have them read nightly on Fox News.

So a question for Trump and GOP – if consumers weren’t the ones paying tariffs, why will rolling back food tariffs decrease prices? Asking for a country.

Shutting down

RIP Former NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue, 84. Paul kept Saints in New Orleans when owner wanted to move to San Antonio. He also instituted Rooney rule, requiring NFL teams to interview minority & female candidates. How long until Trump refers to Tagliabue as a sucker & loser?

LSU Tigers are a disappointing 5-3. The Governor of Louisiana, Jeff Landry got both LSU’s athletic director Scott Woodward basically fired after HE fired Brian Kelly . The school apparently is now seeking to fire Kelly “for cause” and potentially avoid paying a full buyout of nearly $54 million.

Can they all lose?

Trump is now attacking and threatening air traffic controllers who have called in sick or taken time off during the shutdown. And praising those who have worked every saying he wants to give them a $10,000 bonus. Now, they probably won’t get the bonus.

But why isn’t the media asking “Those who stayed and never called in sick could afford to miss a paycheck or two. Why are you punishing the most in need?”

And Velveeta Voldemort is now still trying asking Supreme Court to let him not pay all the SNAP money. He is actually fighting not to feed hungry people – including women and children and seniors.

And not just not feed hungry people. Not feed hungry Americans. Just in case anyone justified the USAID cuts as only killing poor people in other parts of the world.

He also now says the east wing of the White House was “despanded”.

How long until the today’s GOP can be “despanded?

Whatever you think of the “deal” to open government ,can we stop with the narrative that moderate Democrats caved? Some moderate Democrats voted yes.

But Amy Klobuchar, Elissa Slotkin, Mark Kelly, Ruben Gallego and Mark Warner – for starters – are not far-left. And they voted to keep fighting.

Everyone in America agrees the cost of healthcare is too high. But the way to fix it is NOT to kick millions of Americans off their health insurance now. There’s an adult solution. Extend the ACA subsidies, THEN work on ways to make them less necessary in future.

And if Trump’s “die in debt” 50 year mortgage idea isn’t bad enough, now he’s considering a 15 year car loan. (The average car only lasts 12 years.) How many debtors’ prisons are Donald’s rich friends building?

Trump’s latest strike brings total of people murdered in boats to 75. All “alleged” narco-terrorists. Considering that he sent gay makeup artist to El Salvador over tattoos & his ICE has detained US citizens, anyone want to hazard a guess how many innocents Donald has killed?


How long until we get the “Don’t blame me I voted for her” bumper stickers again?

Actually later Wednesday the Senate just voted to end Trump’s new higher tariffs on Canada. Tariffs based, not on economics but on Donald’s petulant reaction to an ad aired by province of Ontario accurately quoting Ronald Reagan. GOP House cowards remain in recess. They don’t ever want to vote again.

But Canada is 1 of top 2 USA trading partners. (mexico is the other)

Many parts for products made in US come from Canada and most of our imported crude oil. Canadian tourists spent over $20 billion in USA in 2024.

Bernie has a really sh*tty record for endorsements. Leaving aside fact that he might have helped cost Hillary 2016 w/ith his late endorsement, his push for Andrew Gillum kept moderate liberal Gwen Graham from getting the Dem nomination for Florida Governor in 2018. Gwen WOULD have beaten DeSantis.


Mike Johnson was first elected in 2016 and no one had heard of him until he was elected House Speaker. He deserves some sort of award for being one of the worst politicians in American history to live under the radar for so long.

Even if think you don’t care much about Seattle Mariners vs Toronto Blue Jays it’s worth watching the ALCS.

If for no other reason to learn more about whichever team most of North America will probably be rooting for against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Meanwhile, while the Blue Jays won 13-4, Toronto Blue Jays superstar Vladimir Guerrero came just shy of a cycle when he stopped at 2nd on a ball into the gap, instead of trying for a triple.

Many Jays and random baseball fans were annoyed. But imagine how they would have reacted had Vlady tried to stretch it out and injured a hamstring or something.
