At least some chatter that the Los Angeles Dodgers might turn down a White House visit due to Trump’s ICE/National Guard attempted takeover of Los Angeles.

If that happens this SF Giants fan will actually applaud the Dodgers.

(All but MAGA Blake Treinen who would probably go for lunch with Donald himself.)

As much as I complain about baseball umpires the referees in tonight’s games made realize officiating could be much much worse.

Not your normal numbers game.

Fox News announcers talking pre-game about Dodgers Blake Snell adjusting after game 1 and needing to “establish the fastball” in World Series game 5.

Apparently the Blue Jays had other ideas.

This World Series is a LONG way from over.


But all this talk earlier this week from sports pundits. about Yamamoto possibly being the next postseason Bumgarner. What if the next Bumgarner turns out to be Yesavage?

(A couple cool facts from tonight – Trey Yesavage’s 2025 salary is $57,204, which is his prorated salary for the part of the season he played in the major leagues. He did get a $4 million signing bonus. And in his first game this season he pitched before a crowd of 327 in single A for the Dunedin Blue Jays against the Jupiter Hammerheads. Tonight’s crowd was over 52,000)

To put that $57.204 in perspective, Game 5, LA Dodgers’ starting pitcher Blake Snell makes $36 million. Works out to about $60,000 for a five pitch at bat.

Meanwhile, the anti-DEI crowd has no problem with Kai Trump’s sponsor’s exemption to get a place in an LPGA tour event.

LIndsay Graham on Donald and Pete Hegseth regularly killing people in boats just because they are “allegedly” smuggling drugs. “I love this debate. I think most Americans are gonna be with Trump.”

Graham, who knew something about war crimes, used to be John McCain’s best friend. I hope McCain haunts his dreams.

Senator Amy Klobuchar was talking about Senate’s bipartisan bill to assert their rights on tariffs nails it “His new tariff against Canada isn’t about security, or the economy,

It’s just about the President’s personal grievances and Americans are the ones paying the price.”

Actually later Wednesday the Senate just voted to end Trump’s new higher tariffs on Canada. Tariffs based, not on economics but on Donald’s petulant reaction to an ad aired by province of Ontario accurately quoting Ronald Reagan. GOP House cowards remain in recess. They don’t ever want to vote again.

Some GOP & right-wing media want us not to care about Canada.

But Canada is 1 of top 2 USA trading partners. (mexico is the other)

Many parts for products made in US come from Canada and most of our imported crude oil. Canadian tourists spent over $20 billion in USA in 2024.

This latest Trump tantrum hurts us all.

I’ll believe the SEC is serious if they ever fine Alabama or Georgia.

Waiting to see which GOP Senator comes up with the most ridiculous justification for supporting Ingrassia anyway. My money is on Tim Scott or Lindsey Graham.

Now Ingrassia, nominated to oversee whistleblowers, has previously said January 6 should be a national holiday. That was fine with most of the GOP..

If Bernie Sanders believes so strongly that we need younger people in the Senate then instead of pushing so hard for Graham Painter in Maine why doesn’t he step down and find some young person to replace HIM in Vermont.

Bernie has a really sh*tty record for endorsements. Leaving aside fact that he might have helped cost Hillary 2016 w/ith his late endorsement, his push for Andrew Gillum kept moderate liberal Gwen Graham from getting the Dem nomination for Florida Governor in 2018. Gwen WOULD have beaten DeSantis.


Mike Johnson was first elected in 2016 and no one had heard of him until he was elected House Speaker. He deserves some sort of award for being one of the worst politicians in American history to live under the radar for so long.

Learning experience.

Even if think you don’t care much about Seattle Mariners vs Toronto Blue Jays it’s worth watching the ALCS.

If for no other reason to learn more about whichever team most of North America will probably be rooting for against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Meanwhile, while the Blue Jays won 13-4, Toronto Blue Jays superstar Vladimir Guerrero came just shy of a cycle when he stopped at 2nd on a ball into the gap, instead of trying for a triple.

Many Jays and random baseball fans were annoyed. But imagine how they would have reacted had Vlady tried to stretch it out and injured a hamstring or something.

What Republicans & Fox News won’t tell you Democrats DID pass a CR in March to keep government open until Sept 30.

Dems have been trying to get ACA subsidies extended all year. NOW GOP wants another CR. And promises they’ll finally negotiate. Why should ANYONE believe them?

The only thing down about grocery prices is the amount of groceries many Americans are able to buy

Stores like Uniqlo returning to downtown San Francisco, hotels & restaurants are busier, tourism is up, crime is down & there’s strong sense of optimism under new Mayor Daniel Lurie. So of course Trump targets SF & threatens National Guard. He can’t stand success in California.

But SF Giants manager Bob Melvint putting Ryan Walker into today’s game with a 4-2 lead to try to save the last start of the year for Justin Verlander should have been listed under “Insanity” in the dictionary

With the government about to shutdown, Trump took Friday off to attend the Ryder Cup.

Now “Europe has set a record for largest Ryder Cup lead going into Sunday singles under format that dates to 1979: Europe 11.5, USA 4.5.” Almost as if #ETTD

Noticing the Sunday Shows lineups: ABC, NBC & CBS, CNN all have both Democrats and Republicans.
