Enough?

August 12, 2017

Not the same thing, yet could death of Heather Heyer, young, pretty and white, hit USA like deaths of William Schraeder, Allison Krause, Jeffrey Miller & Sandra Scheuer?  #kentstate

And let me reiterate, as Evelyn Beatrice Hall and my more current heroine Molly Ivins basically said  “I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.”

–Amazing to have a pro-Confederate pro-Nazi rally in Virginia supported by so many who also say “Hillary lost, get over it.”

#SFGiants fans have by and large re-embraced the prodigal Panda.  Pablo Sandoval has apologized. Anyone who thinks they made a mistake by voting Trump, welcome back too.

Kevin Durant just apologized for calling India “20 years behind.” Hope someone doesn’t have a need soon to call tech support.

Uh, oh, someone told Trump he needs to write a tweet himself “Am in Bedminster for meetings & press conference on V.A. & all that we have done, and are doing, to make it better-but Charlottesville sad!”
“all that we have done, and are doing, to make it better.” #pathetic

If Trump really didn’t think White Supremacists were a large part of his base he’d have no problem condemning them today. Period.

Suspected #Charlottesville car killer is 20-yr-old White Republican Ohio man. Can’t wait to hear GOP tomorrow talk about mental illness.

And in another bus to hell moment, can we imagine what would have happened had the man who killed Heather was illegal?

I’m a travel agent. I say “best regards” when booking a hotel reservation, not talking about people injured by a terrorist.

“Bigotry and violence on many sides?” Uh @realDonaldTrump this wasn’t about many sides, #Charlottesville is about hate, and WHITE NATIONALIST TERRORISM

Arrest made in #Charlottesville White Nationalist car terrorism. But suspect wasn’t shot because police didn’t deem him dangerous.

Rogers and Hammerstein, South Pacific, 1958

You’ve got to be taught to hate and fear,
You’ve got to be taught from year to year,
It’s got to be drummed in your dear little ear
You’ve got to be carefully taught.

You’ve got to be taught to be afraid
Of people whose eyes are oddly made,
And people whose skin is a diff’rent shade,
You’ve got to be carefully taught.

You’ve got to be taught before it’s too late,
Before you are six or seven or eight,
To hate all the people your relatives hate,
You’ve got to be carefully taught!
