SF Giants have literally scored 1 run total -on 1 hit per game- through the 9th inning of their last 2 games. And they somehow won one of those games.

On a lighter note, not too many lighter notes lately, the SF Giants have now won 5 in a row and have a 1.2% chance of making the post season… so you’re saying there’s a chance.

All you need to know about today’s GOP: they still haven’t hung the commemorative plaque to honor police who defended the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, a plaque mandated by Congress on a bipartisan basis in 2022. But they are fine with full military honors for Ashli Babbitt.

I’m sure Louisiana Senator Bill Cassidy MD has done a lot of good in his medical career. But alas the single biggest thing Cassidy has done to affect our health in the USA is to cast the deciding vote for RFK Jr as HHS Secretary. And many people will die because of that.

Four days off and the post-All Star break SF Giants look a lot like the pre-All Star Break SF Giants.

Friday 0-9 with runners in scoring position…

As a few people said,Friday – 11 hits no runs, they scored as many runs today as they scored all week..

And then Saturday 3 runs on 3 hits.

Silver lining about the Toronto Blue Jays wins over SF Giants. In the AL East, the Blue Jays are leading the NY Yankees.

An All-Star game decided by a home run derby may seem weird.

But how much more weird than an actual game decided by how fast a random player is who is put on second base with no outs.

For those who wondered why players like Judge and Ohtani weren’t in the Home Run extra inning competition, apparently they had left the stadium when their innings were over…. presumably on the way to their vacations. .

Don’t get me wrong, love SF Giants’ Randy Rodriguez too. But really would have loved to see Tyler Rogers in that 1st & 2nd nobody out situation in 7th vs Brent Rooker. (When Rooker hit a 3 run home run). Maybe he rolls over on 75 MPH curve.

Wicker is 74 years old. Presume he’s not that ambitious beyond US Senate. So why is he selling out children around the world & here in USA

Conservative pundit Larry Kudlow claims that while inflation is up airfare and hotel/motel prices are down.

IF airline fares and hotel/motel prices are actually down…then the reason for that is that they can’t fill their seats/rooms Which makes sense, inbound travel is falling off a cliff and wonder how many Americans have decided they can’t afford to travel?
