GOP Senator Eric Schmidt has non-verbal son on the autism spectrum w/ other serious disabilities. Eric said his son was a reason he got into politics, to help others. But HIS family will always have healthcare though. You’d think Schmidt would stand up for others.

The US Senate, 51 to 47, just passed a joint resolution terminating the “national emergency” Trump declared to impose global tariffs. Another reason Mike Johnson doesn’t want to bring the House back. He knows some of his GOP members agree this is the right decision.

There were no mobs storming the Capitol today. Congress certified the election with no drama. Do we think it would have been the same had Kamala Harris won the election?

Roy Blunt just said in an interview that while a President gets a lot of leeway, all of Donald Trump’s nominees for various reasons will not end up nominated/confirmed. A reminder there are still sane Republicans, too bad those like Blunt and Portman have left the Senate.

Let’s be 100% clear. If the Jack Smith report was false, or contained information that could be easily refuted, Donald Trump’s lawyers would demand it be released so they could use it against Biden’s DOJ, or simply to “own the libs.”

Who’s in charge?

Had a trivia game tonight where they asked which team J.J. Reddick was the head coach?

Well, actually the real head coach is Lebron. But Reddick has the title with the Los Angeles Lakers.

The day the football team got back to Louisville. DB Tayon Holloway, the play whose unsportsmanlike conduct penalty put Stanford in position for a game winning field goal, was arrested for first-degree strangulation and fourth-degree domestic violence assault.

According to a police report obtained by Louisville television station WDRB, Holloway allegedly attacked a woman in an apartment near the Louisville campus after she tried to get him to stop smoking marijuana.

He seems nice.

Amy Klobuchar with Lawrence O’Donnell announced she was presiding at midnight in the U.S. Senate to get Biden’s judicial nominees confirmed. Wish Schumer had understood “the fierce urgency of now” sooner but better late than never.

Amy Klobuchar, as did many Timberwolves fans, posted some happy tweets tonight after the Timberwolves came back to win game seven.

Now, I get sports rivalries, I get sour grapes.

But the trolls who say she’s never watched or can’t name a player on the team.. ? Give me a bleeping break, Amy Klobuchar, daughter of sportswriter Jim Klobuchar, loves and knows more about sports than most people. Including most men.

“Bring Ya Ass” – Anthony Edwards response to Charles Barkley talking about not having been in Minnesota, would probably sell a lot more vanity license plates than 10,000 lakes. Just saying.

So who’s happier with the Mavericks knocking the Thunder out of the playoffs? Dallas. Or Seattle?

Give me a break. Fox News actually making a story out of there not being big crowds lining streets to see President Biden’s motorcade in Atlanta. Not that you can see anything with dark car windows. Has it occurred to them, you can support a President without being in a cult?

Senator Marco Rubio says he won’t accept 2024 results if ‘it’s an unfair election’ So we’ve now reached the point that if you hope to be elected VP for GOP you have to say that elections are unfair if you lose. It’s. A. Cult.

Trump won’t testify. But an innocent man in a sham trial would take the stand in a red hot minute. Velveeta Voldemort is guilty as heck and he knows it.

Fellow sports fans.

We all like to complain if our team loses & even say “we wuz robbed.” (which can be true.)

But imagine if losing teams refused to accept defeat, never shook hands, & claimed championships were fake. Sports would fall apart.

Meanwhile, crickets on 96% President Biden got in South Carolina, while media still loves to talk about Dean Phillips, who got 1.7%, fewer than Marianne Williamson who suspended her campaign.

Nikki Haley, 52, & apparently sane, genuflected before Donald Trump during most of GOP primary season, only turning against him – and even then on style points – just before South Carolina,

The prize is right?

Thursday night will be the NBA in-tournament semi-finals in Las Vegas, followed by the finals on Saturday.

So will whoever ends up winning this thing, will they hoist some sort of championship banner?

The real winner of tonight’s GOP debate? President Joe Biden To quote my late great stepmother: “We’re not perfect but they’re nuts.”

Two things can be equally true: 1. Nikki Haley dealt with misogyny in Wednesday night’s GOP Debate.

2. Just because the other Republicans (men) piled on her doesn’t mean she’s wouldn’t be an awful President.

So will someone explain to me how the same GOP who worries about our young people being traumatized by books in schools, doesn’t worry about young people being traumatized by the thought of being shot at schools?

Polls consistently show that a large majority of Americans and even about half of Republicans want assault rifles banned. (And most Americans believe in things like expanding background checks and closing gun show loopholes.)

And yet GOP in Congress still resists even more controls on such weapons. Why? GOP has become wholly owned arm of NRA.

Dana Bash on CNN, claiming that despite good economic signs “Biden administration is trying to tell voters how to feel and it isn’t working.” Meanwhile no matter what the news is CNN will tell voters why it’s bad news for Biden

Senator Patty Murray- calling out GOP for going back on their word for the budget deal they made earlier this year which House Republicans negotiated with President Biden. “When you negotiate a deal you don’t then bargain on how much of your word you’re going to keep.

Trying to imagine Ronald Reagan saying “Mr. Gorbachev, unless Democrats approve my tax cuts, don’t do anything to that wall.”

Today’s GOP, sadly, would have probably demanded after December 7, 1941 that FDR rescind Social Security Act to get approval and funding to declare war
