RIP Jerry West, 86.

He was one of my first favorite NBA players when I was a little kid and used to spend a couple weeks at Christmas with grandparents in Ridgecrest, CA. Lakers games were regularly on TV. But how could have he have possibly been 86 years old. ?

Republican party leadership now demands absolute loyalty for anyone who wants committee assignments etc. Hogan would be a reliable GOP vote for whatever Mitch’s successor tells him to do. If you want a voice for Maryland, vote Angela Alsobrooks.

Seriously, has there ever been a franchise that managed to screw up PR on a day they signed a star free agent as much as the SF Giants, in also parting with one of the most popular faces- and voices -of the franchise?

As SF GIants fan who’s hated As since 1972 when they beat my childhood team the Detroit Tigers in the ALCS, been guilty of schadenfreude watching Oakland ownership.

Not today, not sure who to blame, but getting rid of beloved PA announcer Renel Brooks-Moon seems like a decision even John Fisher wouldn’t have made.

South Carolina freshman basketball forward Sahnya Jah entered transfer portal. Coach Dawn Staley suspended her in Feb for “conduct detrimental to team.” But Jah is good enough she’ll probably find another school to take chance on her. Not sort of equality women’s sports aspired to.

Jen Psaki reminds us Biden was first sworn into Senate at the hospital bedsides of his 3 & 4 yr old sons, Beau & Hunter, after they were critically injured in the accident killed his wife & daughter.

On top of everything else Joe Biden is a great dad. And GOP should be HONORING him for that.
