Mets -Brewers game for a while was a painful reminder of the season for SF Giants fans because no team could get a hit with RISP. Then Brewers took 2-0 lead (from back to back home runs) in the 7th into the 9th, and SFGiants fans got flashbacks to Camilo Doval.

Mets have the highest payroll in MLB (with the help of Ohtani’s creative math in Los Angeles.)

Dodgers and Phillies are 4th and 5th in the top five (others are Astros & Yankees.) Padres are 15th.

Meanwhile in AL, other than NY, remaining playoff teams are Royals, 20th, Guardians, 23rd, Tigers 26th.

In case you want to root for teams who will not or cannot buy a title.

For some reason, Fox News not only did not cover Liz Cheney’s speech endorsing Kamala Harris, but also after regular commentary trying to blame Biden and Harris for the port strike, is not covering on their website tonight that the ILA has reached an agreement to go back to work.

North Carolina Republicans won state legislature in 2010 & have gerrymandered it to keep control. They regularly pass bills against building and environmental regularations (along with bills against abortion and voting rights. Trump inconvenienced 100,000 fans who had to enter stadium over 90 min early & cost taxpayers big $$ in Secret Service/police costs. Just so he could see Georgia Alabama game?!

BUT NY Times reports at the bottom of their story,, he left just after halftime, right after being shown on TV.

Seriously, fans had to be in the stadium by 5p, missing out on serious tailgate time, for a 630p start. And Trump only stayed at the game for about 90 minutes..

Apparently many MAGA Trump fans are furious that ABC “only” showed Donald for a few seconds on TV last night at the Georgia-Alabama game. Despite the fact that most viewers tuned in to watch…the game?!!

Meanwhile the New Orleans Saints snatched defeat from the jaws of victory after… (when they had initially fallen behind after a muffed punt at the 5 yard line, Paulson Adebo committed a completely unnecessary pass interference penalty with 20 seconds left and the Falcons out of time outs, setting up a 58 yard game winning field goal.

So are the Atlanta Falcons going to give the game ball to Shaheed or Adebo?

And on top of it all just found out that Paulson Adebo is an anti-vaxxer

The Chicago White Sox today, with a loss to the Detroit Tigers are now 39-121. A record number of losses.

If anyone has seen the White Sox play this year, the hardest thing to understand, how did they win 39 games

Getting to CFB playoffs means money for whole conference. No dog in this fight but my sense is ACC officials made call to get Miami – an ACC team – big payoff by maybe being in playoffs. Virginia Tech took one for the team, or rather the conference on overturned Hail Mary TD.

Just saying for anyone who knows someone in Texas. Avote for Colin Allred is not only a vote to send Ted Cruz back to Texas, (or Canada)

It’s also a vote to keep Mitch McConnell’s GOP replacement from being Senate Majority Leader. And a vote to keep GOP from refusing to confirm judicial nominees even if Kamala Harris is elected.

Was at SF Giants game when they scored 13 runs on Wednesday night. Joked to a friend I hoped they hadn’t used up all their runs for the week. They haven’t scored another run since.

No doubt media will be armed with every thing Kamala Harris has ever said so they can explain to us how she said something contradictory to a position she had in a high school debate.

People who simply signed a petition to put Amendment Four, abortion rights on the ballot are getting visits from Ron DeSantis’ “election police” Allegedly to check for fraud.

(And it’s not isolated – DeSantis’s secretary of state has ordered elections supervisors in at least four counties to review at least 36,000 petition forms that had already been verified months ago

1. GOP is lying about there being a problem with noncitizens voting.

2. Voting as a noncitizen is already illegal.

3. Passports are expensive. And a certified copy of your birthday certificate is at least $25-30.

4. Their sham bill, on top of everything else, is a poll tax. Why isn’t media covering this more?

And as GOP lies that USA has problem with noncitizens voting, do they realize how difficult it can be to prove citizenship, espec. for older rural voters. You need passport or a CERTIFIED birth certificate. Guessing many red state voters don’t have or can’t find that proof.
