The Kansas City Chiefs and Dallas Cowboys were both eliminated from playoff contention this weekend. Who says there’s no good news these days?

Former Gaelic football Charlie Smyth is great story; just won game for New Orleans Saints w/ 47 yard kick. He says, ‘I’d like to be here for a long time.” Hope he is. Although let’s be accurate w/ description. Smyth’s from NORTHERN Ireland.

Newsflash. The San Antonio Spurs are good at basketball.

Trump is now trying to take over management of Washington DC’s three public golf courses.
He’s going to brand them all with his name and make the courses the most expensive in the US, isn’t he?

Note to CBS head Bari Weiss, now promoting Erika Kirk in her efforts to turn CBS into another Fox.
Fox news viewers won’t switch. You will be losing mainstream viewers for nothing

Only in America do we see a town or university trending on social media and immediately think “mass shooting.” Only in America are we usually right. Saturday it was Brown University.
“How many deaths will it take until we know, that too many people have died..?”
–
One of the saddest things listening to college students talking after the Brown mass shooting is how many of them reference their active shooter drills. Remember when the Columbine massacre was actually a shock….only about 25 years ago.
Not the SNL cold open: “Amid worsening affordability crisis, w/ health insurance premiums about to spike dramatically for over 20 million Americans, Trump revealed today his domestic policy chief’s main priority is building triumphal arch for Washington DC.”
Damn.
Loved Rob Reiner as a kid as “Meathead” But when I think of my favorite films: “The American President,” “A Few Good Men” and “When Harry Met Sally” – which I can quote almost entirely – are all up there.

And yes, I know he didn’t write the lines… Aaron Sorkin did in the American President. But this line sticks out in my mind -Annette Benning as Sydney Wade to the President “This isn’t about me. How can you keep quiet? How do you have patience for people who claim they love America, but clearly can’t stand Americans?”
