Fried-day

October 25, 2024

Was there a baseball game tonight?

And USC, who led the exodus from the Pac 12 for $$$ and hopes of better bowls, at least found a Big 10 team in Rutgers they could beat/

Nothing sums up what has happened to today’s Republican party more than this: We’ve gone from the GOP leader calling America “the shining city on the hill” to one calling us the “garbage can of the world.”

If you’re not voting for Trump but for whatever reason thinking of not voting for Harris either then you are voting for Trump. Period.

Tried to cancel Washington Post subscription this morning and the site said “We are down for maintenance.” So did they take their website down in hopes people calm down? Or are millions of cancellations crashing the site?

(It did work later)

Let’s be very clear

The Washington Post Editorial Board had an endorsement of Kamala Harris ready to go

They didn’t cancel it.

The reporters didn’t cancel it.

BIllionaire owner Jeff Bezos cancelled it.

On a cheerier note

Kats for Kamala

Meanwhile, NY Times reports Chinese hackers targeted data from phones used by Donald Trump & J.D. Vance.

And we all know how careless Donald & JD are with their outside voices (& what Trump does with documents imagine how careless they are with info that might be sensitive.

At 11pm & down to 48 degrees in Traverse City, Michigan. Donald Trump was about 4 hours late to his outdoor rally

. If this is how Donald treats the supporters who love him most, how do you think he’ll treat the rest of us. (who aren’t billionaires?)

Dear Mark Cuban Would love to see you buy Twitter. If not can you start by buying the Washington Post?

Thinking this might need to be updated after today. “As of 2023 the Washington Post has the third-largest print circulation in the United States, with 135,980 print subscribers. It has 2.5 million digital subscribers.”

One thing I don’t get. Pretty sure not that many Trump supporters, other than the wealthy and those in DC area, ever subscribed to the Washington Post. So why from a business standpoint alienate your readers? Are they hoping to be Pravda?

RIP. Grateful Dead co-founder Phil Lesh has died at age 84. Not a deadhead, but can appreciate that maybe he and Jerry Garcia can have a hell of a heavenly guitar jam session tonight.

Jeff Bezos would tell Woodward and Bernstein to drop the Watergate investigation.

A South African billionaire is trying to buy U.S. election for Trump.

A South African billionaire got his choice as Donald’s running mate.

A South African billionaire running Los Angeles Times told them not to endorse.

Tell them our country is not for sale. Vote Harris Walz

Real steals

New Orleans Saints fans would like to welcome the Minnesota Vikings to the “scr*wed by the refs in favor of the Los Angeles Rams club.”

Am a San Antonio Spurs fan but it still feels really weird to see Klay Thompson play for the Dallas Mavericks.

Sometimes it’s hard to understand why Donald Trump is campaigning in various locations. Other times it’s easy. He ended up tonight in Las Vegas. So he could bill US Taxpayers inflated prices for Secret Service agents who had to stay at his Trump hotel in town.

Some of Trump’s most fervent supporters are now going after Bruce Springsteen and Taylor Swift. Both Bruce and Taylor will continue to have the ability to sell out concerts many times over. Maybe more so as some will pay more for a MAGA free zone.

Hillary Clinton: “How we can be back here even entertaining the idea that someone who frankly makes Nixon looks like a lesser threat ?”

A phrase I never thought I’d say. Nixon WAS a lesser threat.

At a Vance Town Hall in Detroit, Trump actually called in to ask JD Vance: ‘How Brilliant Is Donald Trump?’

Would the wrong answer have gotten JD on the “to be hanged list?”

As we learn more about the Trump supporter arrested for shooting a local Democratic office in Phoenix Arizona, three times – and allegedly planning a “mass casualty event” wondered how Fox News was spinning the story.

Surprise, ,they aren’t covering it. At all.

Eric Hovde, a Laguna CA businessman running for U.S. Senate in Wisconsin, appeared on Fox News with the back ground of the Minneapolis Minnesota skyline.

Maybe someone should send Hovde a Minnesota Vikings jersey and send him out to campaig in Wisconsin.. That would be must see TV.

Didn’t know that much about Independent Nebraska Senate candidate Dan Osborn But how do you not love someone quoting Robin Williams tonight on The Last Word “Politicians should be wearing NASCAR jackets with patches of their sponsors so we know how they’re going to vote

Trump says if he is reelected he would fire special prosecutor Jack Smith “in two seconds.” So here’s Donald’s message to sum up: Vote for me so I can stay out of prison.

J.D. Vance says everything John Kelly says about Trump “is not true.”

Uh, J.D. Vance now says many things he himself said about Trump are not true.

As President Biden plans Friday to apologize for Indian boarding schools where hundreds of children died…. reminder of yet another reason to vote Harris Walz. Minnesota Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan would, if Walz becomes VP, be the first Native American Governor of a US State.
