Am a New Orleans Saints fan but also a San Antonio Spurs fan so don’t pay that much attention to the NBA Pelicans.

But long time Spurs star Dejounte Murray (who spent two years with the Atlanta Hawks) just had his season opening with the Pelicans. And fractured his hand. Murray will be out for a while.

Saints after a 2-0 start now have what feels like about half their starters injured.

Maybe New Orleans teams need to hire a voodoo queen?

MLB wants to find Tampa Bay Rays a temporary home near Tampa at least the start of the 2025 season if roof damage to Tropicana Field from Hurricane Milton cannot be repaired in time.

A dishonest ad campaign featuring three supposedly Jewish women voting for Trump deliberately mispronounces Kamala Harris’s name. It’s comma-la. They know this. No lie too small.

Just what would it take for some of these so-called reasonable Republicans – Haley, Sinunu, Youngkin, etc – to switch their votes from Trump?

Jameis Winston is apparently to going replace Injured Deshaun Watson as the Cleveland Browns starting QB…

And New Orleans Saints fans will mostly be rooting for him. If for no other reason than to be furious at the Saints for letting Jameis, with all his faults, go.

RIP Fernando Valenzuela.

Was a Tigers fan growing up. Fernando’s rookie year in 1981 was before I became an SF GIants fan so I hadn’t yet learned to hate the Dodgers.

It was also poignant as my grandfather in Ridgecrest, Southern California had terminal cancer.

Remember visiting with him and watching “Fernandomania” on TV, and realizing that he would never know what kind of a career this young star would have….

And Fernando was still young. only 63. Carpe Diem..

At this point pretty darn obvious that if you want your 15 minutes of fame all you have to do is claim to be an undecided voter or a young person/voter of color who is voting for Trump.

Wonder why Fox News viewers support Trump. Today their website has headline about “Longtime Harris ally” with ties to China executive.”

It’s a very tenuous story about 2 people, neither big names, neither iin Kamala’s immediate orbit, who became friends working on AIDS prevention in 2008.

Meanwhile on Fox, crickets STILL on Trump’s personal phone calls to Putin.
