Augie, would be interesting to see how many of them could strike out a major league hitter. Would take some practice but guessing the top ones could do it 🙂

Unlikely. Big league hitters see a ball half the size coming in at them 95-100 mph. You also have to consider that a softball pitcher has the advantage of being 10 feet closer to the batter and they still don’t generate that much speed. However, being hit by a softball leaves a bigger welt than a hard ball.

Perhaps. But it’s not how hard you throw but endurance over time and number of pitches. A woman would tire much easier. However, I believe there was a women who pitched in exhibition against Babe Ruth and Lou Gerig. Supposedly struck them out both. Ruth walked off in a huff. Gerig congratulated her by complimenting her on great pitching. You’ll have to Google it.
