Stages….

Somewhere between denial and anger. If you read this blog for sports it will be more sports by next week…..

You know if Donald Trump won popular vote & lost electoral college he’d say system was rigged for Hillary Clinton.

#Trump margins: Penn -fewer than 70,000. Mich -fewer than 11,000, WIsc fewer than 27.000. Hope everyone feels good about their protest vote.

Colin Kaepernick, who said he didn’t pay much attention yesterday: “I’ve been very disconnected from the systematic oppression as a whole So, for me, it’s another face that’s going to be the face of that system of oppression. And to me it didn’t really matter who went in there, the system still remains intact that oppresses people of color.”

Gosh, if only there was a way in a democracy where people could make choices about their system. #cantfixstupid

Proud at least to be on side of electorate that said, UP FRONT, they would accept #electionresults & has followed through.

All you need to know about the man we just elected President: Martin Shkreli is celebrating. #TheMorningAfter

Think about it, a man who had two top aides be convinced of conspiracy etc in Bridgegate is now in line for a top job in the Justice Department.

So in outrage over Hillary Clinton’s Goldman Sachs speeches, we elected a man who said he will appoint Steven Mnuchin as Secretary of the Treasury. Mnuchin is CEO of private investment firm Dune Capital, and a 17 year-veteran of Goldman Sachs. Well played America. #sarcasm

Americans give @BarackObama 56% approval rating, then vote for a candidate who has promised to repeal most of what he has done. #WTF?

Lesson for children in America, saying “grab them by the p*ssy” will get you fired from television, but you can still be elected President.

Speaking of that wall, can California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada build one, & get red states to pay for it?

#HillaryClinton won the popular vote. #ElectoralCollege turns out to be as good for our country as #TrumpUniversity #Election2016

Trump won white non-college educated Americans by a larger margin than any Republican in history. Clearly a GOP mandate to gut education.

You know this election was “different” when the choice of the “Christian Right” was the man who has three acknowledged children by three different wives.

Angela Merkel: “Germany and America are connected by values of democracy, freedom, and respect for the law and the dignity of man, independent of origin, skin colour, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or political views I offer the next President of the United States close cooperation on the basis of these values.”
Can’t wait to see what insulting name Trump comes up with for Merkel now.

But yeah, who thought Germany would be lecturing America on tolerance?

Over and over am seeing some variation on Trump’s word’s being excused as “just the way men talk in private,” or “just hyperbole.” But the internal emails exposed by Wikileaks with people bitching about Hillary or talking about potential campaign ideas, THOSE were all the gospel truth.

Since it won’t be long before even racists in America miss the black guy – #Booker2020

From TC  “Once again, like Brexit, and our local  British Columbia provincial election, the polls are totally wrong. Where is “Paul the Octopus” when we really need him?”

I agree with the many people who say that we need to move forward together. That does not mean, however, that we embrace Trump’s ideas of exclusion and intolerance. It is our right, in fact our obligation, as Americans to stand up against intolerance and bigotry. I’m sure you’ve already seen both, but Aaron Sorkin (http://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2016/11/aaron-sorkin-donald-trump-president-letter-daughter?mbid=social_facebook) and Michael Moore (https://www.good.is/articles/moore-five-point-plan) have posted items well worth reading and considering.

Bernie Sanders (http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/sanders-signals-willingness-to-work-with-trump/ar-AAk6Wrx?OCID=ansmsnnews11) said yesterday: “To the degree that Mr. Trump is serious about pursuing policies that improve the lives of working families in this country, I and other progressives are prepared to work with him,” the Vermont senator said in a statement released Wednesday.
“To the degree that he pursues racist, sexist, xenophobic and anti-environment policies, we will vigorously oppose him.”

We can and must continue the fight to become a better people and nation.

It needs to be pointed out, just a reminder, W didn’t win the popular vote either. Therefore, the last two “elected” GOP presidents came into office after losing the popular vote and the GOP hasn’t won the popular vote for president since 1988, 28 years. Apparently, there are Trump supporters who are saying the HRC crowd is a bunch of sore losers. That might be true if HRC actually lost. Wasn’t it also Trump who complained of a rigged system, making excuses for losing even before he lost? Now, that’s a sore loser.
