Good and bad tidings

Cal blew a 21-0 lead and lost 35-31 to Hawaii on a last minute TD in the Hawaii Bowl. Most embarassing thing that happened to the Golden Bears this season not including their loss to Stanford…

Bought Spurs Wizards tickets under face value while Wemby was hurt. This might be one of the last times that Spurs ticket were cheap.

Hey friends, looking for a reason to get on the San Antonio Spurs bandwagon?

Coach Mitch Johnson is a Stanford guy

Okay, who thought the New Orleans Saints might have a chance to end up in 2025 with the same record as the Kansas City Chiefs?

Nice to know the leader of the free world is still in North America, eh?

Attacking Nigeria on Christmas. Starting early with his campaign for next year’s Nobel Peace prize…

So ICYMI: Trump decided to attack Nigeria on Christmas supposedly to protect Christians. But he has no problem with Putin bombing and killing Ukrainian Christians on Christmas.

Almost as if he doesn’t care about religion at all.

So were Trump strikes on Nigeria to distract from the Epstein files, or from his absymally low worst ever ratings for the Kennedy Center honors? This is SO confusing.

Meanwhile, over 100 posts on Christmas and Fox News isn’t covering them. But their top website headline is criticizing the design of Barack Obama’s Presidential library.

While Obama himself made an unannounced visit to a Chicago Public Library branch, reading a book to kids and handing out gifts, including books, hats, and gloves.

Not going to repost a single one of his insane Truth Social posts…

But pretty clear that the President of the United States is a man who most people wouldn’t go away for the holidays and trust to water their plants.

Not so sure things

If you ever feel nervous about media political predictions, which are often delivered with serious certainty, looking at pundits talking about sports with equal certainty is one form of reality check.

As in, didn’t they all have the Diamondbacks and the Rangers in the World Series.

And on the Christmas Day NFL games, yes, the pundits did get the Eagles over the Giants. (though not close to covering the 13 point spread.) But we all “knew” the Chiefs would beat the lowly Raiders, and the 49ers -Ravens game was going to be close…

Well, most people had one of the Raiders and 49ers winning on Christmas Day. Just not the one who did.

Comment by a San Francisco television station on a two touchdown loss to the Baltimore Ravens by the 49ers.

“This is a bad time for a bad loss.”

Uh, not as bad as a bad loss in January…

Although as a Saints fan, and as someone with nothing against Brock Purdy, can we please stop the Drew Brees comparisons? You’re welcome. And Who Dat.

Any sports fan parents who despairs of having raising children who are fans but who also understand complicated math? Suggest asking them to discuss NFL potential Wild Card options especially. (And my guess- when kids don’t think it’s math, they get it better than their parents.)

President Biden’s Christmas message “

“This Christmas Eve, my wish for you and your family is that you take a few moments of quiet reflection and find that stillness that’s at the center of the Christmas story, “May you find peace in this silent night. And warmth from those surrounding you.”

The Former Guy’s Christmas message. referenced ”the THUGS we have inside our Country who, with their Open Borders, INFLATION, Afghanistan Surrender, Green New Scam, High Taxes, No Energy Independence, Woke Military, Russia/Ukraine, Israel/Iran, All Electric Car Lunacy, and so much more, are looking to destroy our once great USA. MAY THEY ROT IN HELL. Merry Christmas.”

Jesus wept.

Christmas reminder. Mary and Joseph were refugees, who became refugees with a baby.

Imagine the Chiristmas story if they were in Texas.
