“The Super Bowl none of us were asking for…”

Heard on the CBS SF Bay Area Late Night News with Sara Donchey. And outside of Kansas City and Philadelphia, she’s right.

But the least expensive Super Bowl tickets (upper corner end zone) as of tonight are going for $4350 each on Stubhub. But tell me again how it’s worth stripping funding from Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, children, seniors, parents, veterans.. so millionaires & billionaires can have tax cuts?

Bipartisan reminder.

They just signed star reliever Kirby Yates to 1-year $13 million contract. Dodgers total payroll, including luxury tax penalties, will be in excess of $500 million.

More than the total payroll of six MLB teams, and only at most 40% higher than combined payroll of the 4 other teams in the NL West.

GOP Rep Rich McCormick of Georgia asked, “when in history have we had our poorest people also be our fattest people?” Senator Cory Booker addresses this regularly; awfulness of “an apple costing more than a Twinkie.” Healthy food is more expensive than junk food. Period.

One of the first political things I remember as a very little girl was watching and admiring Caroline Kennedy. I so admire her again today. For calling out her cousin RFK Jr as a predator. (and although she didn’t say it, as a sociopath.)

Wonder how many Republican members of Congress are getting calls and emails to their offices from constituents over Velveeta Voldemort’s executive order freezing federal funding? Guessing it’s a lot. And it will be more. We need to keep up the outrage.
