Though seriously, RIP Hall of Famer Dikembe Mutombo, who passed away of brain cancer at only age 58. He was one of the best in the NBA on and off the court., a global ambassador for the sport.

It’s a bummer to root for a team eliminated from the postseason. OTOH, it’s was a lot less stressful today than being a Mets, Braves or Diamondbacks fan.

Now, if the SF Giants, after a mostly lost season, hadn’t managed to beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 2 out of 3 the last week of the season, either the Mets or Braves would have been eliminated.

Seriously, fans had to be in the stadium by 5p, missing out on serious tailgate time, for a 630p start. And Trump only stayed at the game for about 90 minutes..

Meanwhile the New Orleans Saints snatched defeat from the jaws of victory after… (when they had initially fallen behind after a muffed punt at the 5 yard line, Paulson Adebo committed a completely unnecessary pass interference penalty with 20 seconds left and the Falcons out of time outs, setting up a 58 yard game winning field goal.

So are the Atlanta Falcons going to give the game ball to Shaheed or Adebo?

And on top of it all just found out that Paulson Adebo is an anti-vaxxer

Proving once again, being a former Stanford football player is no guarantee of not being stupid.

SF Giants made a late push after being eliminated, at one point winning 7 of 8 against postseason bound teams but fall JUST short of .500 by losing 2 of 3 to the Cardinals.

Kind of sums up the 2024 season.
