The Chicago White Sox today, with a loss to the Detroit Tigers are now 39-121. A record number of losses.
If anyone has seen the White Sox play this year, the hardest thing to understand, how did they win 39 games

Congratulations to Matt Chapman, winner of the SF Giants Willie Mac award. Well since Chapman signed a long term deal, one nice change this year is that the winner should be around for a while

Don’t look now but Indiana, Illinois and Rutgers, all at 4-0, are on top of the Big 10 College Football Standings.
Getting to CFB playoffs means money for whole conference. No dog in this fight but my sense is ACC officials made call to get Miami – an ACC team – big payoff by maybe being in playoffs. Virginia Tech took one for the team, or rather the conference on overturned Hail Mary TD.
(and yes, ACC gets one team -their champion – in, but they have a chance for more, and seeding matters
My feeling on replay review. If it takes more than 2 minutes, the call stands. Period.

Have to wonder, how many people who ignored orders to evacuate during Hurricane Helene and still survived (often only with help from first responders) will decide they were right? Much like those who took invermectin and still survived COVID.
