The best of times the worst of times, redux

The Indiana Fever are in the playoffs.

And a year ago most Americans would have said “What?”

You don’t have to love Caitlin Clark to love what she’s done for women’s basketball.

If Angel Reese’s Chicago Sky make the WNBA playoffs too… well, will they outdraw the NFL. Probably not. But maybe some college football games.

Only silver lining to the SF Giants season at this point for those of us who are political people, we won’t be distracted from the election by the MLB postseason.

Well, only those who have been verifiably paid by Russia need to be nervous. Guess that means at least a few Republicans will be sleeping soundly tonight.

Find myself thinking of Jamie Raskin, who said initially on the January 6 committee that Liz Cheney was very supportive after his son died by suicide, and later that they became good friends.

He told Cheney “I can’t wait until you and I get back to disagreeing about everything.”

The alleged Georgia high school shooter is a 14 year old male… 14??!!!

It’s the guns, stupid.

I wish we lived in a country where we saw a random city trending and we assumed it was about anything but another mass shooting.

Today is a horrible reminder that today’s GOP feels that it’s more urgent to keep books out of the hands of children than to keep guns out of the hands of children.

Fox News Headline “Trump vows to ‘heal our world’ after fatal Georgia school shooting: ‘It’s a sick and angry world for a lot of reasons,’ Trump said” What headline didn’t say. Then DonOld started another sick and angry rant…

Liz Cheney just announced she is voting for Kamala Harris. I agree with Liz on almost nothing. But she has more cojones than most GOP men. #ThankYouLiz

Do we know 100% that sensible gun control reforms will work? No. But we already know 100% that “thoughts and prayers” don’t work.
