Steve Scalise has dropped out of the House Speaker’s race. Sparing us at least 17 rounds of voting where if Scalise finally got some of the truly crazy vote, they’d probably depose him by Christmas.

Are we sure chaos isn’t the goal? If Republicans ever did get their act together to rally around a House speaker who could pass legislation acceptable to the far-right wing of their party, it would quickly become obvious how out of step GOP is with majority of this country.

Not just that Donald Trump has called Vladimir Putin a “genius” and “smart, Kim Jong Un “very talented” and a “smart guy, and that he now calls Hezbollah “very smart.” But that Donald says all those things and many in GOP still genuflect before him.

GOP Rep. Troy Nehls again suggested making former president Donald Trump speaker since he is “the leader of our party.” If Velveeta Voldemort were even CLOSE to a leader Republicans would have rallied around his choice of Jim Jordan Even most of House GOP knows Trump is a loser.
