Senator Bob Menendez is now claiming accusations against him are racist. Actually same “racism” accusation Angel Hernandez makes about not being chosen to umpire postseason games. Racism is real. But Hernandez is incompetent and Menendez certainly appears to be a crook.

Lauren Boebert, part of a far-right group with Matt Gaetz, voting against Kevin McCarthy’s funding measures says they “are doing the real work to avoid a government shutdown.” That’s almost as good as her claiming she and her groping partner were on a first date.

Now it’s attending Koch brothers’ events. Pretty clear that Clarence Thomas feels like he can kill judicial codes of ethics and norms in plain sight and not lose his SCOTUS seat.
Hoping this writers’ strike really is settled for many reasons, mostly how many livelihoods are affected. But after this week and the House meltdown, along with the Senate dress code change and Menendez indictment, how much did we miss SNL and Stephen Colbert.
