The NBA is trying to get former referee Tim Donaghy to pay back $1.4 million in damages. Donaghy’s defense lawyer says they are just trying to punish him  for embarrassing the league.

If that were true, then the NBA would be trying to get at least $10 million from the New York Knicks.
